Étic et émic de la contraception. Quelles sont les négociations entre soignants et usagers en contexte multiculturel ? Étude de deux plannings familiaux bruxellois

In this ethnographic fieldwork, representations and negotiations about contraception are studied in their complexity for the caregivers as well as for the users. A participative observation and an interview-based ethnography have been conducted in order to apprehend the evolution of the user’s contraceptive wishes and the biomedical framework in which defined the family planning is incorporated.Several notions are presented like the perception of hormonal contraception, the interaction between body and contraception, the female body’s medicalization, hierarchized relation between users and caregivers and female’s in-between conversations about contraception. By this day-to-day observation of the family planning, the contraception’s study also allows to observe the evolution of the feminist ideology.
