La Fé Bahá’í: ética y espiritualidad. Una aproximación desde sus textos sagrados. / The Bahá’í Faith: ethics and spirituality. An approach through its sacred texts.

La misma dinámica de la globalización nos ayuda a tomar conciencia de la vitalidad del pluralismo cultural y religioso en nuestro mundo. En ese ancho horizonte, nos encontramos con unas huellas que nos revelan la existencia de una “nueva religión”, la Fe Bahá’í. Es una religión joven que nace en Persia en el siglo XIX y que actualmente tiene una considerable proyección mundial. Posee seguidores de 235 países y territorios, distribuidos en más de 2.100 grupos étnicos, raciales y tribales, son alrededor de cinco millones en el mundo. Su principal finalidad es la unidad de toda la humanidad. Consideran como designio supremo de Dios que todos los pueblos se integren pacíficamente en una sociedad global. Así, desde sus creencias y espiritualidad, trabajan por un “Nuevo Orden Mundial” en sus múltiples dimensiones: social, política, económica y religiosa. Pero, la condición previa es lograr un auténtico desarrollo ético y espiritual, de cada ser humano y de toda la humanidad. udTeniendo en cuenta que para muchos, se ha convertido en otra vía de acceso a Dios y que les da sentido a sus vidas, he optado centrar mi investigación en dos aspectos que me parecen que son el corazón de la Fe Bahá‟í: su ética y espiritualidad. Dicho estudio, lo haré desde una aproximación a sus textos sagrados, apoyándome a la vez, en algunas fuentes contemporáneas y en la misma experiencia. Desde allí, intentaré realizar un mapeo conceptual descriptivo de los principales elementos que dan cuerpo a la visión ética y espiritual bahá‟í. También realizaré un análisis sincrónico y diacrónico de esta religión para que podamos comprenderla mejor. / The dynamics of globalization themselves help us realize the vitality of the cultural and religious pluralism in our world. In this wide context, we find the footprints that reveal the existence of a „new religion‟, the Bahá’í faith. The Bahá’í faith is a young religion, born in Persia during the 19th century and currently involved in a considerable worldwide projection. It counts approximately with five million followers belonging to more than 2.100 ethnical, racial and tribal groups and spread over 235 countries and territories. udThe core ideological foundation of the Bahá’í faith is to bring unity to the whole humanity. The „Bahá’ís’ consider God‟s supreme plan for the mankind to reach the peaceful integration of all people under a global society. Therefore, grounded in their beliefs and spirituality, the „Bahá’ís’ work for a „New World Order‟ in its multiple dimensions: social, political, economic and religious. Furthermore, the underlying condition to reach this goal is to bring ethical and spiritual development for each person and for all mankind. udConsidering that the Bahá’í faith has turned into an alternative way leading to God for many people, and that it has brought a meaning to their lives, I have decided to devote my research to the two aspects that, in my opinion, lie in the heart of the Bahá’í faith: its Ethic and its Spirituality. For that purpose, I have chosen an approach based on the sacred texts of this Faith, supporting my reasoning on contemporaneous sources and testimonial experiences, as well. Taking this point as background, I will try to trace a concept map to describe the key elements for the ethical and spiritual vision of the Bahá’í faith. Eventually, I will perform both synchronic and diachronic analysis of this Faith in order to understand it better.
