摘要

With increasing integration of the intermittent andvolatile renewable energy resources into the existing ac gridinfrastructure, the grid stability is decreasing. Large batterystorage systems are proposed to act as short-time buffer to copewith transient instabilities. A promising converter to interfacesuch low-voltage high-power battery banks is the T-type Neutral-Point-Clamped Converter (TNPC). A generalized implementationof a variant of the well-known space vector modulation featuringlower losses is proposed in this work. The derived relations toselect a particular switching sequence are based on the binarylogic and symmetry of the possible states in such a three-levelconverter. The algorithm proposed in this work dynamicallyadjusts the switching sequences to accommodate capacitive aswell as inductive behavior.
