摘要

This presentation is a summary of a paper presented at the ICEL Conference I attended in June, 2012, in Hong Kong. There is little research on videoconferencing related specifcially to language teaching and learning. In this presentation, the intention is to present reflections on one project in which English language for conference presentations was taught with three professors in Japan, using SCOPIA desk top videoconferencing as the main medium of teaching. Within a blended learning design, email, and a Moodle site were also used. The experience was positive overall, but depended very largely on whether the internet connection was sufficiently fast and substantial (it was) and whether the software worked satisfactorily.
