The major reason was that Lu Zuofu embraced u22Rural Modernization” as the aim and ideal for the movement, and u22Taking Economy Building as Center” to be the means and practical principle for realizing “Rural Modernization”. The two concepts complemented each other and became a sustainable, unwavering impetus behind the u22Jialing River Three Gorges Rural Reconstruction Movement u22, as well as an important reason that this movement attained greater achievement and better results among the many Rural Reconstruction experiments during the Republic Period. It has realistic inspirational meaning for the construction of Socialist New Countryside and the Great Western Region Development.
