Ionic Liquid Mediated Sol-Gel Synthesis of Porous Silica

synthesis invoving formic acid as a reactants have been investigated to determine the best condition to confine a maximum of ionic liquid inside the silica gel and to reach the highest porosity after removing the ionic liquid from the ionigels.Several sets of ionogels were p[repared from various ionic liquid. some mesoporous silica nanoparticle materials with spherical morphological were synthesized.The purity of all the ionic liquid checked by 1H NMR.
