Das Medienverhalten von Jugendlichen bei der Beschaffung von Informationen über Gesundheitsthemen : eine Befragung von Siebtklässlern im Kreis Aachen mit und ohne Asthma unter Berücksichtigung der verschiedenen Schulformen und des Migrationshintergrundes

The adolescents are a meaningful group for prevention. On the one hand they use health-destroying behaviour which might have consequences for their future life on the other hand you can´t achieve them very good. This dissertation gives an overview of the adolescents of pupilsofthe seventh grades of Kreis Aachen and a review of their health-supporting, free time, exposure and the media behaviour. Adolescents with asthma-symptomes are an example for people with chronic deseases and are contemplate in a seperate way. In addition the healthy situation of adolescents with a migration background is presented. The result of the survey is a failing in the indentification and supply of adolescents with Asthma of Kreis Aachen. The instruction programs of the handling of Asthma should be offered for this group of age group and should also include the parents. Concerning the behaviour of health and risk the pupils of Hauptschule show most of the risks (smoking) and less of the healthpreventing behaviour (sports and J1). This group is considering of prevention the main group. Respective smoking the family background is an important influence factor. Generelly the adoloscents show compared to the references a big willingness to join the check-up. A suprise was that the adolescent with migration backround went to the checkup in more cases than the comparison group. The using of media for getting information the adolescents use the computer and the internet, but this is not the favourite way to get informations about health. They prefer personal contact with a doctor to get information or to talk with him or the parents about this topic. The pupils of the Gymnasium are the group which gives the most attention to this theme. The conclusion of this survey is that health-conscious behaviour should be arranged more attractive for the adolescents and should be integrate in the daily routine. A combination of a doctor/specialist and the internet could be a practical way. Besides this the parents schould be included in the prevention work.
