The Ribera del Duero, is located in theudAutonomous Community of Castilha andudLeón (Spain), despite having reputation ofudits wines all over the world, it needs anudextra effort to value their natural areas.udThis paper proposes to restore the localudtourism sector; joining sustainable ruraludtourism wineries integrate with nature andudlandscape. Using indicators and SWOTudanalysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunitiesudand threats) on the characteristicsudof wine tourism in Ribera del Duero, itudis possible to propose a strategic planningudfor sustainable rural tourism in thisudregion. The suggested activities can leadudto multiple benefi ts for economic, social,udand environmentally developed; addingudsustainable and local development to anudall the winery region
