Online classes versus traditional classes with at-risk students

This study examined high school students enrolled in an alternative education school. It examined and their perceptions of online and face-to-face classes and their academic performance based on gender. Using an ANCOVA the research showed one gender difference in the GPA of the participants, where the female students performed better than the males regardless of the instructional approach. Both male and female students had similar perceptions about online and face-to-face classes.
