摘要

In this project we want to examine the teachers in the new Danish school reform followed with a narrow analysis of interviews with three teachers from Ålholm Skole and with the education minister's spokesman Annette Lind. Even though the reform is fairly new it has already received a lot of criticism, and both parents and teachers claim that the reform has not been introduced and implicated as thorough as it should had been. Our perspective will be from the teachers’ point of view and their experience with the changes in the new reform. The reform offers a lot of new elements and new lessons, which the teachers must integrate into a new lifestyle and a new way of teaching. We will throughout this paper work with different problems that arise through this process. Another important point is that the definition of a teacher has been twisted and added new values, which we will try to understand. Furthermore we will discuss if the requirements to the teachers matches the reality of how much the teachers can actually provide. The teachers we have interviewed have in common that they feel pressure of all the duties they need to fulfill before they head home from work. Lacking of preparation and motivation can be factors that could do serious damage to the quality of the elementary school.
