Three Arrows Cannot be Broken! A study of Abenomics' third stage of structural reforms.

This thesis offers a unique insight into the Liberal Democratic Party and Shinzu Abe’s prospects of pushing Abenomics’ third arrow of structural reform. Based on the newest literature, recent lectures, press conferences and seminars as well as several interviews with Japanese bureaucrats,industry representatives and experts, this thesis provides new context-specific data tothe debate on Abenomics. Two specific structural reforms are studied (the Electricity Market Reform & amendment to the Companies Act)and based on these the thesis indicates what drivers and obstacles affect if the state is able to take the next reformist step and bring Japan back from two lost decades of economic stagnation.
