摘要

The aim of this research was to investigate the distance effect of cantula fiberudwoven on nail withdrawal, compression strength, hardness and the thermaludconductivity of cement arenga pinnata-cantula composite.udThe composites consist of cement and arenga pinnata as the matrix, cantulaudfiber as reinforcement and CaCl2 as the additive. Composite manufacturing processudwas using press method, and the distance of cantula fiber woven were 1 cm, 1,5 cm, 2udcm, and 2,5 cm. Nail withdrawal test, compression strength, and hardness test refersudto ASTM D 1037. And thermal conductivity test accord to ASTM E 1225.udIt was observed that increasing distance of cantula fiber woven wouldudincreased the value of nail withdrawal, compression strength, hardness and thermaludconductivity. The maximum value of nail withdrawal, compression strength,udhardness, and thermal conductivity reached at 2,5 cm, where nail withdrawal isud261,4N, compression strength is 69,03 MPa, hardness is 14,63 BHN, and thermaludconductivity is 0.253 W/m.0K.udKey words: cement composite, nail withdrawal, thermal conductivity, arenga pinnata,
