Kauman Surakarta is one of herritage village in Surakarta with specificudcharacters as kampung batik, kampung Santri, and tourism kampung. Theudstakeholders make serious efforts to handling a conservation for Kauman village, however cause of various problems, the efforts were still not optimally implemented.udFor that reason, the effectiveness of strategy implementation by revitalizationudconcept approach should be rearranged.udThe evaluating of the effectiveness of implemented strategies was basedudon questionnaire results of all stakeholders and Kauman communities. Whereas theudpriority strategy formulation was analyzed by the method of Analytical HierarchyudProcess (AHP). The value of each strategy is based on interview to the stakeholdersuddecision makerudThe results of the research showed that the strategies are evectivellyudenough implemented, anyway it will be better to raise up the effectiveness. Analysisudof strategy formulation showed an insequence of priority strategies that can beudapplied in conservation efforts, namely: 1) Kauman as a kampung batik; 2) Kaumanudas a kampung santri, and 3) Kauman as a tourism village, To implement those threeudstrategies, action can be taken in order of priority, they are: 1) socialization, 2) Fund,ud3) regulation, 4) region masterplan, 5) community empowerment, 6) mentoringudactivities, 7) revitalization activities typical of the region, 8) physical environmentaludrepair.udKeywords : conservation, revitalization, strategy.
