Analysis of Bushido Spirit Role in Japanese Education Development after World War II and Its Relevance in Learning History at The Eleventh Grade of Senior High School. Thesis. Surakarta: Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Sebelas Maret University, December 2015. The research aims to know : (1) The influence of Bushido Spirit in Japanese society, (2) How the Japanese government build Japanese education after World War II, (3) The result of Japanese education development after World War II, (4) The role of Bushido spirit in Japanese education development after world war II, (5) The relevance of the role of bushido spirit in Japanese education development after World War II in teaching history. The method used in this research was Historical method. The steps of this historical method are heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The data collecting technique was literature review. The source was written sources. The data were analyzed by using history analysis technique. Based on the research it can be concluded that: (1) Bushido spirit is a spirit which is owned by the Samurai were excavated from the noble values of the Japanese nation. The elimination of the samurai class during the Meiji restoration affects bushido ethos spread to all levels of society. (2) The successful of Japanese education development after World War II is in the hands of the Japanese themselves, with earnest effort and hard working imbued with the spirit of bushido. (3) The results of Japanese education development can be seen in the form of physical and non-physical. (4) Bushido animates and becomes a driving force in implementing of Japanese development after World War II. (5) In the 2013 curriculum History as compulsory subject to learn by the eleventh grade students of Senior High School, there is relevance of the role of bushido spirit in Japanese education development after World War II with the core competence (KI) point 3rd, basic competence (KD) 2.1, and teaching material about struggle for independence from threats and Dutch allies.
