Novel Bonsai karya Pralampita Lembahmata: Kajian Antropologi Sastra dan NilaiPendidikan Karakter serta Relevansinya dengan Pembelajaran Sastra di Perguruan Tinggiud

This study aimed to describe and explain: 1) Cultural manifestation in the novelBonsai by Pralampita Lembahmata, 2) the value of character education contained in the novelBonsai by Pralampita Lembahmata, 3) the relevance of cultural aspects and values of character education by teaching literature at college. This study is a qualitative study using anthropological approach to literature. The research data in the form of the review of novel Bonsai by Pralampita Lembahmata. Data collected by direct analysis, documentation studies, depth interviews and focus. Testing the validity of the data using triangulation of data sources and triangulation methods. Data were analyzed using content analysis with an interactive model. Results of the study are as follows: 1) Cultural manifestation in the novel Bonsaiconsists of three forms, a) the complexity of the idea, which includes five things namely the essence of life, the essence of the creation, human nature against time, human nature with nature, human nature with others, b) the complexity of the activity, which is divided into seven elements, namely kinship, economic, educational, aesthetic and recreational, religious, political, somatic, c) the complexity of cultural products that include language, knowledge systems, organizations social, science and technology outcomes, livelihood, religion and the arts. 2) The value of the dominant character education contained in the novel Bonsai by Pralampita Lembahmata them are religious, hard work, curiosity, love reading, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility. 3) Aspects of cultural and educational value of the character in the novel relevant used in the study of literature, especially literary anthropology courses Keywords: anthropology literature, novel, character education values
