PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP PERUBAHAN PENGETAHUAN,SIKAP DAN PERILAKU PENDERITA TUBERCULOSIS YANG BEROBAT DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SURAKARTA

ABSTRAKudABSTRAKudIndonesia merupakan negara pertama diantara negara-negara dengan beban tuberculosis (TB) yang tinggi di wilayah Asia Tenggara yang berhasil mencapai target Millenium Development Goals untuk TB pada tahun 2006, yaitu 70% deteksi dini dan 85% kesembuhan. (WHO, 2010). Meskipun demikian angka Angka penderita TB di Surakarta masuk dalam peringkat sepuluh besar untuk wilayah Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Pengetahuan masyarakat yang rendah tentang tuberculosis sebagian besar terjadi pada masyarakat yang berpendidikan rendah. Pengetahuan yang rendah cenderung untuk bersikap dan berperilaku negatif. Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan tentang penyakit tuberculosis sangat diperlukan terutama diprioritaskan bagi mereka yang berpendidikan rendah atau buta huruf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap perubahan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku penderita Tuberculosis (TB) yang berobat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Surakarta.udJenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment), dengan rancangan one grouppretest- posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua penderita TB yang berobat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Surakarta. Sampel sejumlah 35 orang yang diambil dengan cluster random sampling. Variabel bebas adalah pendidikan kesehatan dan variabel terikat adalah pengetahuan, sikap dan prilaku. Cara pengumpulan data dengan metode kuesioner. Dan hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Uji paired t-test .udHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan pada nilai p=0,001, terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap sikappada p=0,001 dan terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap perubahan prilaku pencegahan penularan penyakit TB pada nilai p=0,001.udDapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan terhadap perubahan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku pencegahan penularan penyakit TB pada penderita TB.udKata Kunci : Pendidikan Kesehatan, Penderita TBududABSTRACTudIndonesia is the first country among the South East Asian countries with the high tuberculosis episodes, which succeeded to reach the target of Millennium Development Goals for the tuberculosis in 2006, that is, 70% of tuberculosis early detection and 80 of tuberculosis recovery (WHO, 2010). However, the number of tuberculosis clients in Surakarta city is included in the top-ten regions with tuberculosis in Central Java province. The low knowledge of the community on the disease mostly is experienced by those with the low education background, and those with the low knowledge tend to have negative behaviors and attitudes. Therefore, extension of health education on the disease to those with the low education or illiteracy is very much required.udThe objective of this research is to investigate the effect of the health education on the changes of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of the tuberculosis clients medicated at the work area of Community Health Center of Surakarta.udThis research used the quasi experimental research method with the one group pretest-posttest design. The population of the research was all of the tuberculosis clients medicated at the work area of Community Health Center of Surakarta. The samples of the research consisted of 35 clients. The samples were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The independent variable of the research was health education, and the dependent variables were attitude and behavior. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire. They were then analyzed by using the paired t-test.udThe results of the research are as follows:(1) there is an effect of the health education on the changes of knowledge of the clients as indicated by the value of p=0.001; (2) there is an effect of the health education on the changes of attitude as shown by the value of p = 0.001; and there is an effect of the health education on the changes of behavior on the tuberculosis disease transmission prevention as pointed out by the value of p = 0.001.udThus, based on the results of the research, a conclusion is drawn that there is an effect of the health education on the changes of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of the tuberculosis clients medicated at the work area of Community Health Center of Surakarta.udKeywords: Health education and tuberculosis clients.udperpustakaan.uns.ac.id digilib.uns.ac.idudcommit to userud
