OPTIMAL DETERMINATION SETTING udLEVEL TO INCREASE THE QUALITY OF RAYON YARN (30R) WITH udTHE EXPERIMENT TAGUCHI AS GUARANTEE EFFORT TO THE udSPECIFICATION OF THE QUALITY OF YARN. Skripsi. Surakarta: udIndustrial Technique Majors, Faculty of Technique, University Eleven udMarch, January 2007. ud udRayon yarn represents the yarn synthesis from cellulose which regenerated udso that its structure is equal to other cellulose fiber. One of the characteristic of udrayon yarn is has to gleam high and its colors are compared to by whiter of lisle. udUsually rayon yarn used in making t-shirt (knitting) and batik shirt (weave). udExperiment Taguchi represent the method of approach optimize of quality to udmake a design product and process so that can lessen the possibility incidence of udproduct variances. This target will be able to be reached if company can identify udthe existence of factors influencing characteristic of quality by accommodating udthe factors appropriate or level storey. udThis research is focused at how to determine the optimal setting level that udcorrect of the process of yarn of number rayon 30 at machine of ring spinning udseen from characteristic of quality of scraggly yarn, interesting strength of yarn, udand torsion of yarn as effort for the minimized of loss total resulted by variation of udthree characteristic of quality by simulating. Approach used by combining udbetween design experiment from method Taguchi, the regression model, and udoptimize from quality loss function by using model of non programming linear. udExperiment consisted of 3 phase. Phase experiment 1 pursuant to setting udcompany use 30 samples, phase experiment 2 pursuant to orthogonal array used is udL27(313ud) using 4 replicas to every combination level, phase experiment 3 pursuant udto optimal setting use 10 samples. udFrom result of data processing known the characteristic value of quality for udthe scraggly of yarn is equal to 9,729 %, for the strength of interesting of yarn udequal to 346,232 gram and for the torsion of yarn equal to 18,437. Totalizing loss udeffect of three characteristic of quality at condition actual is equal to udRp171.372,00. After the research with the optimal result setting level, obtained udcharacteristic value of quality of for the of yarn equal to 9,480 %, for the strength udof interesting of yarn equal to 351,093 gram and for the torsion of yarn equal to ud18,092.
