摘要

This study aims to examine the effect of performance appraisal quality onudjob satisfaction, organizational commitment, and intention to quit. Performanceudappraisal quality as a measure of state employees in the work environment.udProblem of low performance appraisal often found in family firms. This studyudfocused on the kind of family business enterprise (FBE), a company owned andudmanaged by its founding family.udPerformance appraisal is a way of measuring the contribution of individualsud(employees) to the organization where they work. Performance appraisal isudbasically a key factor in order to develop an organization effectively andudefficiently, due to a policy or program that is better on existing human resourcesudwithin the organization. Job satisfaction is usually considered a short termudmeasure. Job satisfaction is used as a measure of employee well-being (Green,ud2004) and also related to productivity and safety employees (Harter et al., 2002).udOrganizational commitment is a consistent relationship in good faith on the basisudof the influence job satisfaction (Robinson et al., 1994). Intention to quit the formudof withdrawal from the organizations and may be influenced by the quality ofudperformance appraisal. Employees tend to withdraw from situations that areudcontrary to their interests (Fugate et al., 2008).udThe sample used in this study amounted to 100 employees at the company'sudfamily of CV Yussuf & Co. in Yogyakarta. The sample was selected usingudrandom sampling techniques. Statistical analysis showed that the quality ofudperformance appraisals affect employee satisfaction and organizationaludcommitment to employees.
