The purpose of research is review free software that can be used in the preparationof children to competitions in computer graphics and animation. The object ofresearch is the editor of vector and bitmap graphics, two- and three-dimensionalanimation. Subject of research is using these software tools in preparing students forcompetitions. Identification and development of creative abilities in children is oneof the urgent problems in teaching practice. Using the free software for processinggraphic data develops creativity and skills of independent scientific knowledge, self-identity.
