This article reports on the progress of an actionudresearch project designed to embed the GlobaludDimension into Secondary Initial Teacher Educationudat the Cass School of Education, University of EastudLondon. Conceived in 2007, the project built onudthe recognised strengths of our provision – theud‘virtual schools’ initiative and our relations withudour partnership schools, both of which wereudrecognised by Ofsted in their 2008 and 2010udinspections of the work of the Secondary InitialudTeacher Education at UEL. The project sought toudweave the Global Dimension around the frameworkudof virtual schools using our strong partnership withudschool-based colleagues to support this initiative.udThis article reports on the progress the project hasudmade in its second year informed by an analysisudof school-based partnership staff and traineeudevaluations examining the outcomes of the projectudin its first year.
