The development of radiation sources in the THzudspectral region has become more and more interestingudbecause of the peculiar characteristics of this radiation: itudis non ionizing, it penetrates dielectrics, it is highlyudabsorbed by polar liquids, highly reflected by metals andudreveals specific "fingerprint" absorption spectra arisingudfrom fundamentals physical processes.udThe THz source at SPARC is an accelerator basedudsource for research investigations (e.g. material science,udbiology fields).udBy means of e-beam manipulation technique, audlongitudinal modulated beam, the so-called comb beam,udcan be produced at SPARC. In terms of THz sources,udsuch e-beam distribution allows to produce high intensitiyudnarrow band THz radiation, whose spectrum stronglyuddepends on the charge distribution inside the e-beam.udIn this paper different linac schemes are compared. Inudparticular, spectra obtained using the comb beamudcompression through velocity bunching including a IVudharmonic RF section is showed.
