The failure of the first stage turbine blade in rotor Cudof Unit K- 601 was analysed. It is concluded that theudblade had fractured first at the tenon due to highudhardness of the base material. The fracture of theudtenon led to vibration of the blade and its failureudat the outer hole by fatigue.
