This report deals with the design and developmentudof an airblast atomiser for application in the KAVERIudengine. Five atomisers of the chosen design wereudfabricated and tested at ambient conditions to determineudthe fuel spray SMD, patternation, cone angleudand atomiser flow number. The atomiser performanceudparameters specified were achieved and hot testsudcarried out in the 90° combustor sector. The combustorudpressure loss, exit temperature distribution, ignitionudand stability limits were evaluated
