Wykorzystanie bazy Web of Science do analizy bibliometrycznej publikacji pracowników Instytutu Medycyny Pracy w Łodzi

The paper presents a practical application of the tools available in the database Web of Science in assessing the scientific achievements of individuals and institutions. The authors have made a bibliometric analysis of all the publications of the staff employed in the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łodz, indexed in the database for the years 1972-2010. They have analyzed the staff’s publications in the following fields: subject areas, language, year of publication and type of document. They have also pointed out the average and total number of citations from the publications, and the ability to generate the Hirsch Index - one of the most important ways to measure scientific output
