AGRIS is an international database about publications from agriculture, veterinary medicine, forestry, food technology, primary processing of the agricultural and forestry products, natural resources, environmental protection, nutrition and regulation and education. CARIS is an international database dealing with current research projects for the same fields. AGRIS/CARIS centers of the country members and international organizations participate through their inputs that consist of the bibliographic references for the publications and reports published on their territories. Today, AGRIS and CARIS contain 3 million and 30.000 references for the publications and reports respectively. The information collected in the AGRIS and CARIS are available in the Matica Srpska Library of Novi Sad via Internet, ie. the AGRIS/CARIS Web sites (http://www.fao.org/agris), as well as on the CD-ROMs. The access to the other databases for the related fields (AGRICOLA, CAB Abstracts, IUFRO, FAO Document Catalogue i dr.) is possible through these Web sites.
