Questionari e interviste agli utenti di una biblioteca universitaria: indagini quantitative e qualitative a confronto

The paper reported at the "Seminario AIB Lombardia" in September 2007 presents some quantitative and qualitative surveys carried out in the Milano-Bicocca University Library in order to collect users perceptions.For each survey, we report briefly objectives, methods, results and any actions followed. We used survey tools such as questionnaires, interviews, focus groups and "self-interviews" (questionnaire with many open questions).In the first part we examine two quantitative surveys, the one on user satisfaction with the library services, the other on electronic resources use. In the second part we analyze especially two qualitative surveys, the one on aide students perceptions, the other on knowledge, use and user satisfaction with library services at "Sede di Scienze"; we also refer to qualitative surveys aimed at users to gather feedback on the library guide and on the website in progress.Finally we compare aims, methods, objects and recipients of quantitative and qualitative researches.To learn more about surveys carried out: http://www.biblio.unimib.it/go/Home/Home/Documenti-sulla-biblioteca/Obiettivi-misurazioni-valutazioni.
