Traditional scientific e-journals models do not live up to the needs of the Scholarship 2.0.Researchers increasingly demand access and integration of raw data, maps, video, images, podcasts etc. in the text. The final researchers' goal is the data and text mining and the modular reuse of these different scientific outputs. Some publishers and journals (Elsevier, NPG, PLoSONE) are now experimenting different value-added services at the article level, but the idea embedded in the presentation is that scientific e-journals are fast moving towards new innovative models i.e. enhanced publications and scientific compound objects.
