摘要

[CAL / MAT]K has been created as a guide to setting up a complementary online tool for teaching mathematics subjects. Specifically, it contains a collection of bibliographic information resources. Its contents is based on the syllabus of subjects thaught in the Civil Engineering Faculty of the Polytechnic University of Valencia: Calculus, Differential Geometry and Computer Assisted Mathematics. In a self-learning context, the students need to be able to access a greater number of electronic sources to support their learning programme. We believe that innovation consists on introducing resources in a standardised form. Many distance learning projects have small impact because they lack an organised way of accessing a large number of resources. This tool improves the following aspects:* Teaching: The didactic method employed enables students and teachers to share a single theoretical corpus with the aim of creating bonds of work and study beyond the classroom. * Technological aspects: the digital library has a unique user interface. * Content aspects: as the project is presented globally for an entire area, in future the resources can be selected and customised for each subject and placed at the disposal of students and users of the system.As a result, the digital library is in line with the latest trends in European information ecology programmes, i.e. reusing information that is circulating on the internet and in distance and e-learning. A noticeable feature is that these are full text documents that will be viewable immediately on request on the user’s screen.
