Versklavung durch Verbuchhalterung

摘要

The public pressure for greater accountability and efficiency enforces the increased use of accounting methods. As a consequence, great parts of the general Population are pushed towards obedience, and ultimately into slavery. In the University context, the ever increasing dominance of scientometrics – a discipline that is deeply rooted in soviet Bolshevism as well as Taylorism – as a measure of scientific Output and impact, has resulted in a surge of university bureaucracies everywhere. To solve this problem, the author calls for a revival of the Humboldtian ideal of the university.
