Da arte à biblioteca pública: os Manifestos de Mangelos: projecto para a rede de bibliotecas municipais eescolares do concelho de V.N. de Famalicão (Portugal)

摘要

The Manifestos of Mangelos (a Yugoslav artist. Dimitrije Basicevic, 1921-1987)are unusual works of art, written on collages of book pages, books, exhibition catalogs, often covered by ink. They discuss a wide range of subjects from Philosophy to Biology; they express vanguard believes and propose a new interpretation of art and of the world. In this project, we try to use the same approach and methodology that Mangelos used to build his Manifestos.Libraries while places of public discussion and reflection, can raise a interdisciplinary program, where Literature, Philosophy, Biology, etc, and a variety of artistic expressions join and cross in debates, symposiums, aroundspecific themes specially selected to specific communities.We intend to lead students, later on, to express their opinions, ideas, dreams so that they write their own Manifestos which may act to operate changes, to raise the pleasure for social intervention and public manifestations, using Art as a tool to facilitate access to them for the whole school community and for society in general.
