The relevant electronic information resources in humanities are reviewed and an information query within the science of literature is presented in order to get a model of an optimal search strategy. The obtained results are expected to show what currently available resources are capable of offering to the researchers in the field of humanities and to indicate the degree of the usability/usefullness of actual electronic information resources in this subject area. Resources from the non-English speaking area (for example, Web sites in Russian), which significantly supplement the corpus of available information for the humanities are pointed out
