The research has aimed to characterize the reading practices of female teenagers, students of public and private schools of Rio Grande, with the main focus characterize this readership and observe possible trends in reading this genre. Thus, this study analyzed 221 questionnaires filled out by young women aged between 14 and 19 years, high school students from public and private schools in Rio Grande-RS in the years 2008 and 2009.
