The text offers a brief analysis about NITF and NewsML, and its application to the management of journalistic contents in line, including writing, treatment, recovery and reutilization of such. Both languages are the result of 30 years of study and use of applied languages of telecommunications in journalism. First, a brief summary is offered about the NITF and NewsML historical evolution like languages on which it will be based the future, in the mid term, the journalistic markup. Later, their capacities are described to both languages briefly, showing, and insisting on their main characteristics, the modularity and the double structural and semantic description at several levels, including some examples. Next, will be some of the advantages and, to the time, of the questions that raise their future use, including the partial reframing of the role played by the journalists in the elaboration of electronic media. In a later section, are some possibilities of use of both languages. Finally, data are offered on the present implantation of both languages,and their perspective of future.
