An infocommunicational phenomenon can be clearly seen on the Internet Social Networks (ISN). The newudbehavior in network confirms changes in the socialization enhanced by mobile access in digital platforms.udBased on this, the paper aimed to understand the theory of Information Behavior (IB) to support anudinvestigation with users of ISN. These theoretical discussions were held in light of the emerging paradigmudcalled the Post-Custodial, Informational and Scientific. This is an exploratory study, therefore a theoreticaludone, which brings together some terms and examples of Web 2.0. The discussion in this article criticized aud1) IB and Post-Custodial Paradigm's evidence, 2) Post-Custodial Paradigm and a new professionaludpanorama and 3) IB and Information Competencies. The preliminaries outcomes showed that theudresearch’s field focused on Information Seeking Behavior and permits to undertake a research on other IBudfacets of ISN.
