It shows an approach to the subject: information management and knowledge management, with emphasizes the importance of audits of information as ideal means to diagnose the needs and requirements of information in organizations, and also to design an intranet. It´s presented a methodology for the development of corporate intranet, which details the basic components that must integrate. It´s describes some free software tools for intranet, with special emphasis on the content management system CMS Joomla. It is presented as case a study: the corporate intranet of BIOMUNDI Consultancy.
