摘要

In 2012, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights settled the Case of Kichwa Community of Sarayaku v. Ecuador. This lawsuit, one of the most important human rights process in the Inter-American System, point out the repercussions that oil activities produce in the territory, life and cultural identity produced in the Ecuadorian Amazon Region. With this sentence, The Inter-American Court set up great advances in the protection of Human Rights defining important statues for the right application of a free and prior Consultation and consent of the Indigenous people
