Over the years, and the increase in technology and the growth of telecommunications, the way journalism, as technological tools are in constant change. Traditional media formats have been changed progressively. The internet has changed drastically, the possibilities of generating and receiving information. Forcing the media to find a way to accommodate the interests and needs of your new audience; A young audience, used to consume visually appealing products in virtual platforms, resulting in websites that are increasingly common. The research aims to specify where the Ecuador stands, regarding the use and application of these technologies. It has the purpose to compare knowledge and propose new possible uses in journalism.Journalism is entering an impeccably rigorous era where change is inevitable and journalists must adapt to the constant evolution of generators and consumers of content.
