The thesis project entitled "Use of Asphalt mortar on roads” is aimed to raise an awareness of a fast, economical and optimal solution for a routine road maintenance, since in many ways, a neglect in drainage or its absence causes them to deteriorate and present cracks, fissures, etc.., leading to discomfort for users, lack of communication between towns and cities, or in the worst case the total change in the surface layer. Based on the usage of asphalt mortars, specifically the Slurry Seal, this project provides practical guidance to prevent deterioration of the roads in a shorter time, with less labor, equipment and expense. To this end, this project informs the basic concepts, characteristics and proper use of standards for the application of tests of each of the components of the asphalt mixture. In the later chapters there is a real example of the placement of the Slurry Seal, calculation of the optimal design of the asphalt mixture, budget, schedule and cost comparison. Finally, it presents conclusions and makes recommendations with which it is going to be possible to make maximum use of the information contained in this thesis.
