Comprobación del grado de confiabilidad del análisis cefalométrico de Tatis realizado en radiografías panorámicas para determinar la discrepancia de Bolton anterior y total.

The objetive of the study is to compare the degree of reliability of the Tatis cephalometric analysis on panoramic radiographs to determine the anterior and total Bolton discrepancy. Materials and Methods: A Bolton discrepancy study was perfomed in 50 study casts, and the Tatis analysis by computer software (ORTHOKINETOR PLUS) was performed in 50 digital panoramic radiographs of the same patients. The results of the Bolton discrepancy study obtained in both studies were analyzed and compared statistically. Results: After a statistical analysis, the results of the anterior and total Bolton discrepancy analysis obtained in the present study by the Tatis analysis showed 95% reliability with the data obtained by the Bolton analysis made in study casts, therefore there was no statistically significant difference between the two studies. Conclusions: Based on the previously exposed it can be concluded that, in this study sample, the Tatis cephalometric analysis on digital panoramic radiographs is reliable for determining the Total and Anterior Bolton discrepancy.
