El arte participativo características, implicaciones y tensiones de la participación en el arte contemporáneo

Participatory art seeks to break the barriers of art between the audience, its context, and art itself. Through the generation of relationships and spaces for participation and dialogue with spectators, it seeks to empower the audience in order to produce recognition and social impact in the various contexts in which it operates. This investigation analyzes the characteristics and motivations that guide participation aiming to identify tensions that may arise within this practice. Through the analysis of various artists and collective groups that work around collaborative practices, this paper aims to generate a critical opinion about the emergence of participation in art, its possible scope as well as its esthetics, political and social limitations.
