Prevalencia de la enfermedad periodontal en pacientes diabéticos tipo 2 registrados en el Departamento de Endocrinología del Hospital General de las Fuerzas Armadas

摘要

This study was made with the purpose of knowing the prevalence of periodontal disease in controlled diabetic patients registered in the department of Endocrinology of the General Hospital of the Armed Forces. The periodontal disease, gingivitis and periodontitis, constitute a heterogeneous group of disease of infectious nature whose main etiologic agent is the present microorganisms in the bacterial plaque which is affected by the presence of not well controlled diabetes.
