This project shows the design and construction process of an automated station that can perform classification and organization of elements. The station is an automated overhead crane, which is governed by a SCADA system. The station also has a vision system and a memory system.First, the automated station identifies and classifies the elements depending on the color using the vision system; then, the plant organizes and places the elements in a pallet. This whole process is automatic and is governed by a CUBLOC PLC. The plant has no sensors in the positions of the pallet to indicate the presence or absence of an object, but instead it is implemented a memory system that can remember where the elements were placed. The monitoring and control system has the task of verifying and controlling the activities of the station, thus, in certain cases the plant require an authorization by the operator or an external device to continue its activities.This project shows in detail the programming and configuration of the communication between the CUBLOC PLC and the computer.
