Bridges constitute an essential part of road infrastructure, due to this optimizing costs is very important. Because short span bridges can be found in al types of roads, determining the construction material and technique that result in the best solution both economically and practically has the potentiality to save millions. Through the study of bridges of 140, 70 and 50 feet in materials like steel, reinforced concrete and prestresed concrete it’s intended to determine the best option for bridges of 2 lanes in Ecuador.
