摘要

The development of this thesis topic was from the need of the staff of the Department of Project Engineering of Metropolitan Public Company of Water Supply and Sanitation (EPMAPS) to have a tool that serves as support in planning and decision-making of their area, in regard to the design and implementation of new network projects for the provision of services in the towns located in the area of the Metropolitan District of Quito (DMQ).Whereas existing designs were scattered in different storage devices, they were assigned different types of Map Projection, and most were not georeferenced or were in relative coordinates. Making global impossible simultaneous viewing of the same, which would allow us to combine this information with existing network coverage so you can make the appropriate analysis to determine which neighborhoods, parishes or administrative units, should prioritize the procurement of works.Therefore it was decided to generate and feed the Geodatabase (GDB) Designed Projects Networks, by incorporating all existing studies files Features separate into two, one for drinking water and other for sewage system. It is worth mentioning that also implement a process for the management and maintenance of these coverage, so that data are available at any time and can be accessed without problem, thus ensuring the quality and accuracy of the same.
