Desarrollo del proceso de producción de biogás y fertilizante orgánico a partir de mezclas de desechos de procesadoras de frutas

This research studies the optimum mix between organic fruit waste and cow manure for the production of biogas and a digestate fertilizer by means of anaerobic digestion in the mesophilic range. The fruit wastes used in this research were: blackberry, soursop, wild fruit and tree tomato. The results of the laboratory scale batch experiments show that the optimum mix between fruit waste and cow manure is 1:1. The optimum mix between fruit waste and cow manure in laboratory scale semi-continuous reactors is 4:1. The optimum fruit waste composition is made of a 1:1 blackberry – soursop mix.
