摘要

"Aló, emergencias" is a newsgame that aims to inform children and youth about the responsibility that involves making calls to 911. The video game is based in several studies which involves the high percentages of malicious calls received by the system ECU 911, Ecuador´s Emergency Central. One of the most important arguments to consider this is the correlation between the holiday period (summer vacations) and the improvement of the malicious calls received by the ECU 911. In addition, is presumed that the main authors of these calls are children and young people who do not have enough information about the consequences of these telephone calls.As result, it was decided to perform a game which generates in the player feelings of frustration in order to create empathy for the officials responsible of answering the telephone calls of emergency 911.The investigation began with concepts related to education, psychology, journalism and techniques for game development. Moreover, the production was based on iterative prototyping techniques and in paper prototypes, which sought to define the main mechanics of the game and how to performed it. Subsequently, the high-level prototypes were refined based on users tests and observations. Finally, the end product was the main tool for obtaining results for research.
