This paper aims to establish parameters to help us to determine the impact of the wind flow over the structures located in different places within the country. In this case we consider two different buildings. The first building is a regular geometry, which is analyzed for a sector within the city of Quito, and for other business in the city of Guayaquil. The second building is for the project "Swiss Towers" located in the city of Guayaquil. This analysis is performed taking into consideration the standards of countries like Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and the United States. Within these regulations are presented various parameters related to the geometry of the structure, location, topography, and characteristics of the surroundings of where is located. These parameters along with the design speed of the wind measured specifically for the study sector, they are the ones who determine the wind pressure is obtained through the application of each standard. Finally, an analysis is carry out which allows you to display in a graphical matter that spite of the fact that the rules they follow a similar procedure for the analysis of wind load, the coefficients and different conditions for each standard rule make the pressure exerted by the wind flow is different from each standard and each sector being analyzed.
