The research aims are to improve the administrative and decision making of SMEs inQuito in order to improve their profitability and growth through reengineering in bigcompanies. For this we carried out a analysis of five key areas within an organization: ICT,Marketing, Organizational Structure, Legal, and Finance. The research process was conductedthrough interviews with SMEs, in order to identify common everyday problems that smalland medium businesses face, in order to be able to establish appropriate processes for theoptimization of resources and the generation of strategies for better decision making. Finallythis research is completed with the creation of a manual so people know how they shouldmanage an SME, so they have a tool that allows them to know the proper handling of the fiveareas of a company, which also dependent on growth, strengthening and positioning, butespecially on the success of SMEs in the city of Quito.
