Comparabilidad de la prueba 'NBME' comprehensive clinical science' (CCSE) con las pruebas 'NBME subject examination' (SE) por especialidad en los estudiantes de la promoción 2013 de la Facultad de Medicina del Colegio de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad San Francisco de Quito

The computer-based case-simulation standardized examinations provided by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) are an important summative assessment tool used in medical schools worldwide. “Universidad San Francisco de Quito” (USFQ),requires their students to take the NBME Comprehensive Clinical Science Examination (CCSE) and the NBME Subject Examinations (SE) during their last clinical years of the program. The NBME CCSE includes all the specialty areas assessed in each one of the NBME SE, therefore it is expected the NBME CCSE score will be equivalent with theNBME SE mean score. The aim of the study was to analyze the NBME CCSE scores obtained by USFQ medical students between 2011 and 2012 and the NBME SE scoresobtained between 2012 and 2013.
