This is a feasibility proposal to promote practices that tend to reduce our ecological footprint. The Mobile Multiphase Flowmeter that are used in the oil sector, are run with power generators that burn oil fuels, thus they become a source for greenhouse gasses. In this work we propose the use of energy accumulators to reduce the time that power generators are in use, at the same time that we provide energy that can be used for these units during the hours in which they are only in maintenance. We have demonstrated that the proposed system is not only efficient environmentally speaking, but it had economic advantages in the short, mean and long term for the company.The system consumes 270,195 liters of diesel fuel in five years. By implementing the proposed project, the accumulator will only use 90,065.00 liters. This will save 180,130 liters of diesel. By using a formula presented by the IPCC, I estimated that 226.75 Tons of CO2 will be avoided. Moreover, the company will save $365,181.60 in the course of five years. We have demonstrated that the proposed system is not only efficient environmentally speaking, but it had economic advantages in the short, mean and long term for the company.
